ASMC is the non-profit educational and professional organization for persons, military and civilian, involved in the overall field of military comptrollership. ASMC promotes the education and training of its members, and supports the development and advancement of the profession of military comptrollership. The society provides professional programs to keep members abreast of current issues and encourages the exchange of information, techniques and approaches.

Norwich University aims to cultivate leaders for our nation, pairing with ASMC’s vision to advance professionalism in the defense financial management community. Founded in 1819, Norwich is the nation’s oldest private military college as well as the birthplace of the Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (ROTC).
Thanks to our new partnership, ASMC members receive a $3,000 scholarship toward an online master’s degree and CDFM holders earn six credits toward the Master of Public Administration online program. The Spring 2019 PDT, “Strategic Professional Development: The Challenge of Change”, was held Wednesday, April 24, 2019 7:00 AM – Thursday, April 25, 2019 4:45 PM at the Chesapeake Conference Center, Chesapeake VA. Attendees had the opportunity to earn up to 16 CPEs and network with other government financial management professionals. Assistant Secretary of the Navy (ASN) FM&C Mr. Thomas Harker was be our keynote speaker.
