ASMC promotes the education and training of its members, and supports the development and advancement of the profession of military comptrollership. The society provides professional programs to keep members abreast of current issues and encourages the exchange of information, techniques and approaches.

The Spring 2019 PDT, “Strategic Professional Development: The Challenge of Change”, was held Wednesday, April 24, 2019 7:00 AM – Thursday, April 25, 2019 4:45 PM at the Chesapeake Conference Center, Chesapeake VA. Attendees had the opportunity to earn up to 16 CPEs and network with other government financial management professionals. Assistant Secretary of the Navy (ASN) FM&C Mr. Thomas Harker was be our keynote speaker.

The ASMC Hampton Roads Chapter welcomes LT Adam Stanek as our new Chapter President. At our Annual Awards and Scholarship event held June 2018, the chapter held its annual meeting. As part of our meeting, we elected new officers and the Army transferred chapter stewardship for the 2018 – 2019 year to the Coast Guard.
